Buster Mesquite's Cowboy Band

After this book was read to a group of first-grade students, I asked them, "When was a time that you worked together with someone who was different from you?" I asked them each to write their story and draw a picture of it. Here is a selection of their work in response to this question.

On Sundays I go to school. But at lunch time, time is up. And I learn a different language. Actually, to make it [clear] I learn Sand script and Hithi. And then today I searched for rocks with lots of girls but it doesn't matter what gender you are. - Dev
