Confetti: Poems for Children

After reading a few of the poems from the book, we asked the students to write their own poem based on their favorite color and their five senses. From their poems, they created illustrations using their imaginations.

I hear a bird.

I see a moon.

I taste kool-aid.

I touch water.

My Green Poem
By Jannae

I hear a snake sliver up a tree.

I see a butterfly flying to a crayon.

I taste a green apple that is next to lettuce.

I smell pasta that is close to an olive.

I touch ice cream that is close to falling on grass.
