If I Had a Tail

After reading the book, students discussed why people don't need tails. Then they proceeded to discuss why animals do have tails, and the significance of their tails. These are second-grade students' illustrations showing animals and their tails. This book can be used to compare the tails (and other physical features) of animals of the Southwest with those of different habitats.
