About the Reviewer:

Monica Ayon is a 20-year-old Special Education major at the University of Arizona. She will graduate in May of 2004. She was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona and she plans to stay in Arizona after she graduates. Eventually Monica would like to move out of state to teach in Washington or California. She has always enjoyed working with special needs children and feels fulfilled knowing she will change the lives of the children she teaches.

Monica comes from a family of four, including a loving mother, father, and older sister, who is working on her Master's degree in psychology. Monica plans to continue her education until she receives a Master's degree or a Ph.D. While continuing her education, Monica wants to teach at the high-school level.

Along with loving to teach Monica is also a professionally trained cheer and dance instructor. She usually spends her summers teaching school-aged girls at training camps along the West Coast. (Spring 2002)
