About the Reviewer:

Gina Sweigart has already been awarded her Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts at Pima Community College and is currently enrolled in Northern Arizona University's Elementary Education Program. She has always loved learning and teaching. As a child, she excitedly took her friends and siblings through "mock" lessons from books she had read. She couldn't wait to start school. Once acclimated to the classroom environment, Gina prospered as an avid learner.
The love of words and their meanings continued to entrance her throughout her school years. She has always had a fascination of literature and persisted in writing her own stories and poems, which she still (now,) holds private. In adulthood, her love for shaping young children's minds and spirits has finally brought her to teaching.

Gina currently teaches pre-kindergarten at a charter/public school in Northwest Tucson where she resides. Her three years of teaching have cemented her belief that she is a born teacher. Her grandmother has always told her that teaching is her destiny. She agrees. (Fall 2004)
