Roxy Magnuson is 21 years old and a junior at the University of Arizona. Roxy is from Tucson but hopes to teach elementary school in San Diego, California. She is committed to working with young children and feels that loving to read goes hand in hand with loving to learn. Roxy wants her future classroom to be welcoming, creative, and inspirational. Hopefully writing children's books lies in her future. Right now she is in the "Children's Literature in the Classroom" course.

Aside from being an aspiring teacher, Roxy is an accomplished dancer. Having studied dance for eighteen years, she cannot imagine that it won't play some role in her future. She is the youngest daughter of four and loves spending time with her family and close friends. Living on campus at the Alpha Delta Pi sorority house, Roxy is involved in many activities on campus as well as off. She has always made time to work in after school programs with children. Education is one of her passions because the children of today are tomorrow's future. (Spring 2002)
