When Clay Sings

Book Review:

When Clay Sings is a story about ancient pottery that is found from years and years ago. Children look at pieces of pottery and try to piece together the life that may have used the pottery before it broke. Many questions are asked such as; what kind of voice was used back then? what type of weather was it while they worked on the pottery? It keeps the reader thinking of how it was back then like how the children played, how the hunters caught their food. This story is written in prose-poetry form. The illustrations are by Tom Bahti. The illustrations are symbols from the Indian nations of the Southwest.
