Arizona A To Z

I read Arizona A To Z to a preschool classroom at Wings on Words Preschool and Kindergarten. The program at this school is designed to facilitate language with children who have speech and language delays. We took a few minutes to read the book. During the reading of the book, the children discussed the pictures and ideas in the book they were familiar with. The name of their classroom is the owls and so they were able to relate with "Owls overlooking Old Tucson". After we read the story, we went outside and walked around the school looking at trees and plants that are common to Arizona. The children then went inside and drew pictures of what they had seen in the book and outside.
