About the Reviewer: Hi! My name is Candace Doerr. I am the only native Arizonan in my family of five. I have grown up in the desert and I love the Southwest! For fun, I enjoy hiking, rollerblading, swimming, or any activities that take place outdoors. I am currently majoring in Elementary Education at the University of Arizona. When I graduate, I would like to teach first, second, or third grade in an Arizona school district. I have always had a passion for children, and I am excited to become a teacher. In addition, my mother is a middle school Spanish teacher and has been one of my greatest role models. She has taught me that teaching can be rewarding and fun. I hope to utilize her teaching strategies and to make as strong of an impact in the lives of my students as I know she already has. (Fall 2003)
