About the Reviewer:
Kristina Green is a graduate student in the School of Information
Resources and Library Science at the University of Arizona.
She has lived in eight different states over the years, but
has called Arizona home for the last 13 years. Kristina graduated
from Catalina Foothills High School in Tucson and proceeded
to receive a Bachelor's degree in political science from the
University of Arizona. After graduating, she knew she wanted
to perform public service which led to her life-long interest
in libraries. In order to pursue her goal of becoming a librarian,
she volunteered in the Glendale Public Library system where
she was able to gain a well-rounded experience by spending
time in circulation, adult reference, and children's reference.
From there, she started working at Midwestern University Library,
a medical school in Glendale. At Midwestern, she was able
to gain a better understanding of a specialized library and
while in this position, she decided to follow her interest
in academic libraries. Since 2004, Kristina has worked at
the University of Phoenix library as a Lead Library Research
Specialist. In her job, she assists curriculum developers
in selecting reserve readings for various courses and also
processes dissertations for publication in the ProQuest database.
In her spare time, Kristina enjoys spending time with her
husband, two cats (Mr. Miyagi and Mr. T), and dog (Fonzie).
She enjoys hiking, camping, and (attempting) to cook. In addition,
she really enjoys reading to children and is often found at
her husband's elementary school reading the many books she
enjoyed as a child. Kristina will be graduating in December
2008 and looks forward to serving a community of young learners
either at the elementary or higher levels of education.
