About the Reviewer:
Lori Silverstein is currently a junior at the University
of Arizona and working toward her degree in elementary education.
She will be graduating in December of 2005. Born and raised
in Dallas, Texas, she has found she was always asked this
question, "Why did you choose to go to the University of Arizona?"
Honestly, she does not have an answer, but she can say that
she made the right choice.
After graduating from the University of Arizona, she plans
to return to Dallas for a few years to teach and possibly
obtain a Master's in special education or psychology. She
has always enjoyed being with and working with children. This
is probably due to the fact that because she was the baby
in her family, she always had someone to look up to her as
a role model, like she did to her big sister, Lisa. By becoming
a teacher, she will gain such satisfaction in her life by
having an impact on the students in her classroom and by being
somebody's role model as well as learning and growing along
with the students. Her family and friends always say, "You
have such great patience, and such a concern for others in
helping them understand and achieve their goals. You will
be an amazing teacher."
Besides working toward her Bachelor's degree in education,
she enjoys shopping, exercising, listening to music, reading
magazines, and being with her family and friends. She is a
TRUE animal lover, and when she becomes a teacher there will
be a show-and-tell day of the real live animals the students
have! (Fall 2003)
