The Seed And The Giant Saguaro

After hearing the book, students in this second-grade class at Thornydale Elementary School studied Sonoran desert plant and animal pictures and brainstormed describing words. They were then split into groups to create poems and illustrations.

There were thousands of, scattered, glistening , tiny , black , saguaro seeds
and they
grew into giant saguaros.
