Soft Child: How Rattlesnake Got Its Fangs

About the Reviewer:

I have always enjoyed Southwest literature, because I was born and raised for the most part in the southwest part of the country. I was born February 5, 1974 in Tucson, Arizona, and ever since day one my parents have grounded my interests in literature by taking the time out of their lives to read to me. I think that much of this was do to the fact that my mother was an elementary school teacher, an occupation that I am presently pursuing as well. My love for reading grew in my adolescent years, when I read more classical literature that improved my reading and writing skills. By the time I was in college, the content of my reading changed to a theoretical style, where I consumed more philosophical and textual writings. Today I am enjoying being in the teacher preparation program and working in the children's behavioral health industry, where I am challenged every day to conceptualize various methods of sharing my love for reading (as well as other subjects) with the children that I work with and will work with in the future. If you would like to discuss more on children's literature authors or if you have any questions about the Southwest children's literature book I have chosen to share, you may contact me at Brownma@u.arizona.edu or at Mufnsman@aol.com.
