About the Reviewer: For Selene, reading all kinds of books has long been a favorite pastime - especially reading a good story. Experiencing different characters, situations, places and times through reading is a great way, she believes, to learn and develop perspective, compassion and understanding about the world and the diverse experience of others. A growing fascination regarding how to share this love has lead her to the Library and Information Science Master's degree program and more specifically the Multicultural Children's Literature class. She is delighted to find there are so many books that will expose the reader to a rich, wide range of experiences from which to draw inspiration. As she continues reading, she looks forward to connecting others with these stories in her role as a librarian! Fall 2008
