About the Reviewer:
My name is Anita Valdez and I am twenty-one years old. I
am single and have no children, but I look forward to next
year when I will have a classroom of my own. I have lived
in Arizona for most of my life and I would like to someday
raise my children here in this glorious state. I will graduate
in May of 2000 with a bachelor's degree in primary education.
Children have been a source of great joy for me. Through teaching
I hope to be a great source of knowledge for them. My two
suggestions for any future teacher is teach what you know
and be willing to learn what you don't. Children need to start
off with what they know and what they think is relevant in
order for active learning and interest to take place. I also
am a firm believer in the future and that these children are
our future. (November, 1999)
